I guess I'm on the right track then because my current captain matches up exactly with the above. The Pre-Rebork AA system gave me a lot of return for my AFT, BFT, AAGM2 upgrade.
My High Tier USN BBs in particular were fantastic AA Battleships. You can have your stealth and survival at the same time.īefore the CV Rework, I used to do a lot of AA Builds. Iowa with Camo + CSM1 is 14.1km detection, which is bad. Tech Tree USN BB Secondaries are hot garbage. Good concealment means even a Battleship can control its engagements more easily.Ĥ. AA isn't worth spec'ing into because the returns on AA capabiity isn't there.ģ. Your ROF of your 127mm/38 DP guns are SLOW, on top of having very mediocre range for Tier IX BB secondaries.ġ. Iowa-class Secondaries in Secondary Build only reach to 8.64km, which is completely laughable. Outside that, then Secondary Build, even then it's not going to scare anyone and make them consider Iowa to be a dangerous brawler. Personally, I'd recommend a Stealth Survival hybrid build on Iowa now as optimal for PVP.
